FUN FACTS ABOUT Stegosaurus!
This popular dinosaur featured rows of unique bones that developed into large plates and spines along their back and tail.
Stegosaurus were very large. They stood at 14 feet tall and 30 feet in length. But, they had brains the size of a walnut!
Like the Diplodocus, Stegosaurus were slow walkers due to their size. They only went about 5 miles per hour.
The Stegosaurus is the state dinosaur for Colorado.
Stegosaurus were herbivores, but they supplemented their diet with small rocks to help with digestion.
